The Light That Never Goes Out
I used to spend the past years walking in dark corridors. Once in a while someone lights a candle and you can see as much as three meters a ahead but then its light flickers. Sooner or later its light runs out and you are left in the dark again. The minutes go by, it then turns to hours, days, months. Soon you realize that its been several years and you are still walking in a dark corridor. Sometimes you feel like you've been walking on circles and ask yourself, what's the point in this?
Then when you least expect it, someone lights a lamp. The light is glorious, it blinds you at first. Your eyes squint rejecting its fervor. Slowly you feel your eyes opening up to the light. Your eyes adjust at first, you fight of the blindness it brings. Then eventually, when it is time you will see clearly. Now everything is bright as day and no wind or creature can ever turn off the light.
